GPstore has send out an email to its customers advising that they are now officially taking pre-orders for Rock Band and that EA has informed them to expect a October release date. The contents of the email are past the break.

The crux of the email is that the game (without any instruments) will cost 120$, if you would like to play some instruments with the game it will cost more depending on what package you choose, the full package of instruments (Wireless Guitar, Drums, Mic) will cost 299.95 meaning that if you want the game and instruments you are looking at $419.90

A year late and at twice the price? It is just too much in my opinion.

Rock Band has been a phenomenon in North America and Europe and us Kiwi gamers are finally going to get in on the action early October. The bad news however is that Electronic Arts has advised that this is a one off shipment and stock will be extremely limited! Here’s what is going to be available…
