In it’s latest campaign against animal cruelty, PETA have targeted the Nintendo DS and Wii franchise, Cooking Mama. With the creation of a browser based game going by the name of “Cooking Mama: Mama Kills Animals”, PETA attempt to highlight some of the cruelty these animals are faced with before they end up on our dinner table.

Why is PETA picking on poor Mama? Because Majesco’s game is so heavy on dishes that are made from dead animals that the only things missing are the blood and gore. So, in the name of accuracy and honesty, PETA has decided to introduce a little horror to Mama’s kitchen.

Like the original game, players score points for assembling a meal. However, in PETA’s version, players also must go through the motions of plucking the turkey’s feathers, pulling out the bird’s intestines, and cutting off the animal’s head. Manage to complete the meal and you’re in for a surprise, mad Mama isn’t so bad after all. Check out the game here.
