I became interested in the Tomb Raider series incredible late in the franchise. It wasn’t until Tomb Raider: Underworld that I decided I wanted to know more, and that the adventuring was as good as people claimed, even one-upping Uncharted’s exploring (although that’s about it). And today it seems that rumours of the Tomb Raider series getting rebooted is another step towards fruition.
As you can see above, Eidos seem to be taking the rebooting very seriously, with what can only be described as breast reduction, and as can be seen past the break with the inclusion of what can only be described as “creatures from my worst nightmares”
Along with the leaked concept art was a bit of a description on what might be happening in the reboot. And are listed here in bulletpoint form:
- Lara becomes stranded on an island off the coast of Japan
- Lara can ride a horse and shoot arrows from a bow.
- There will be “visceral one-on-one melee combat”
- Looks a lot like a survival horror as far as creatures go
- Has a “multi-region island is an open playground alive with creatures, weather and natural elements” to explore
- Looks terrifying
