PSP Go Preview

Posted July 16th, 2009 by Brianemone

pspgo

Yesterday we stopped by Sony to check out the PSP Go demo model that they have had recently delivered. It had a few demo games installed on it to try out the new design and button layout. The new PSP is expected to launch at the same time as Gran Turismo PSP in a few months, no New Zealand price has been confirmed yet.

Video past the break.

You’re making me want one! I already have one! ARGH!

    I better start investing in a 16GB stick…

I’m surprised you didn’t make more out of LBP and GT. I’m so totally all about those games. *drool*

Talk about your amateur night at bob’s bar and grille. That video preview was pretty average and didn’t really tell us anything. It at least could have been scripted as it felt like you guys were just floundering.

I wonder if you guys are so willing to kiss a$$ that you didn;t really want to ask anything that might have put the Sony rep (?) who was with you on the spot.

    A wasted opportunity.

I wrote a nice reply advising that there are other places where we ask questions and talk in detail about it. I deleted it though and I’ll just say piss off Close Second.

You have me confused with someone else me thinks. I will say it takes balls to stand behind your article so my hat is off to you. However, does not excuse the fact that it was short on information.

You guys are too PC in New Zealand and need to learn how to actually ask real questions and demand real answers.

Honestly, watch your video and bullet point what was actually covered that people didn’t already know. What sort of practical tests did you perform? Did you see how the thing would sit/fit in your pocket with a pair of headphones plugged in given the headphone socket in at the bottom of the unit?

I see on your forums you gave people opportunity to submit areas of interest for the preview – which of these did you cover?

I’m sure with practice you wont suck as much at your job.

Sorry – should not have made that last comment. Just annoyed as I lost my job in the UK writing reviews for consumer products like this. The PSP Go should be good for Sony but they really are playing catch up – they run the risk of repeating the same mistakes they made with the Walkman.

    Heard of an IP address?

Also the questions were fielded in the podcast not the preview video, this was simply to see the thing in action.
