Telltale Games have released the first few minutes from the first episode of Tales of Monkey Island. The traditional Monkey Island humour looks to be still intact. Though the intro does seem eerily similar to the one from Escape from Monkey Island. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think it’s the first Telltale game to feature night time and rain!

It doesn’t feel like it has been a week already since the last podcast, but alas, time travels at an ever increasing rate as we do more podcasts. This week we talk about the new games on consoles, iPhones and Facebook. We discuss wether Fight Night Round 4 can be classed in the same genre umbrella as fighting games such as Street Fighter and Tekken. Caution, Podcast contains a plot spoiler regarding a character in Harry Potter.

As if FaceBook wasn’t a big enough time waster by it’s self, the games that pop up now and again make it even worse. This week my attention has been grabbed by, of all things, a typing game. The purpose of the game is simply to type as quickly and as accurately as possible as they fall from the sky and begin to pile up and overwhelm the poor typist. Give it a try, it’s annoyingly addictive.
The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai was the result of Microsoft’s Dream-Build-Play competition. Developed by James Silva, and influenced by his past occupation as a dish washer, The Dishwasher successfully combines old school platforming and new school technology to create a superbly violent slash-’em-up.
