Hello internet, can we talk privately for a second? Yeah, it’s about The Sims. It’s pretty stupid, huh? I mean, it’s practically playing with dolls right? You’re sitting at a computer, sometimes watching some virtual dude sit at a computer. It’s got nothing on our pretensions of overcompensating machismo, playing soldier, warrior, rock god and speed demon, does it? After Sony took a survey on their blog for things people would most like to see in a God of War III Collector’s Edition, the people spoke and a Blu-Ray PS3-only collection of God of War and God of War II was born.

Both games are remastered, running in 720p HD and with the addition of PSN Trophies. It will be released this year separately to God of War III, a good primer for the game’s release in March 2010.

A press release on Take-Two Interactive’s website this morning has announced that GTA: Chinatown Wars will be making it’s way to iPhone and iPod Touch. Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games had this to say:

Chinatown Wars is a perfect match for the iPhone and iPod touch. We are very excited to bring this incredibly ambitious version of Liberty City, with this level of detail and immersive gameplay on Apple’s new gaming platforms.

As a potential iPhone buyer this is pretty sweet news. I rarely have time to sink the hours required into an immersive game like this, but having it sitting there in my cell phone ready to play no matter where you are is quite exciting. Chinatown Wars is already available on DS and is due to be released on PSP, so I think it was only a matter of time before we saw an iPhone version of it. Hopefully this version takes advantage of the unique characteristics the iPhone has to offer.

Overnight Disney announced it’s intentions to buy Marvel Entertainment, Inc. The deal which will see the whole raft of Marvel’s 5000 plus characters come under the Disney umbrella and has been improved by the big wigs at Marvel and is only subject to the legal US merger and antitrust requirements.

This can’t be a good thing, can it? What does this mean for the Marvel movies which have actually started getting good recently?
