Hello internet, can we talk privately for a second? Yeah, it’s about The Sims. It’s pretty stupid, huh? I mean, it’s practically playing with dolls right? You’re sitting at a computer, sometimes watching some virtual dude sit at a computer. It’s got nothing on our pretensions of overcompensating machismo, playing soldier, warrior, rock god and speed demon, does it? But maybe we should stop hating on something we don’t understand, after all, there’s plenty of creative outlets within The Sims 3, far more so than any action game, so let the people have their Feng Shui, if they so prefer it over a head shot.

A press release on Take-Two Interactive’s website this morning has announced that GTA: Chinatown Wars will be making it’s way to iPhone and iPod Touch. Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games had this to say:
Chinatown Wars is a perfect match for the iPhone and iPod touch. We are very excited to bring this incredibly ambitious version of Liberty City, with this level of detail and immersive gameplay on Apple’s new gaming platforms.
As a potential iPhone buyer this is pretty sweet news. I rarely have time to sink the hours required into an immersive game like this, but having it sitting there in my cell phone ready to play no matter where you are is quite exciting. Chinatown Wars is already available on DS and is due to be released on PSP, so I think it was only a matter of time before we saw an iPhone version of it. Hopefully this version takes advantage of the unique characteristics the iPhone has to offer.

This can’t be a good thing, can it? What does this mean for the Marvel movies which have actually started getting good recently?
