nzBrowncoat brings us the lowdown on Operation Flashpoint: Red River. Originally posted over on Browncoat’s blog, Interactive Nonsense.
Operation Flashpoint: Red River is a First Person Squad-based Tactical Shooter that shares similarities with the mint slice biscuit. On the outside it’s not flashy and other biscuits look a lot better, but inside is a cool peppermint core which some people will love to dunk in a cup of tea (I mean the biscuit goes in the tea, not the game…..anywho).
Well the last few weeks have been absolute madness in the Tusock-land. Sick kids, Fire Service courses, mid-winter parties, and even time for a wee bit of gaming. LA Noire is yet to grab me, Lego Star Wars is getting too much play time, and I finally 100% Age of Booty!
Trenched is the latest offering from Tim Schafer’s Double Fine Productions and as expected has plenty of humour. Well how else could you look at an alternate World War One setting where trenches are now mobile and the evil doer wanting world domination is leading a bunch of bad guys made from televisions. A great premise for a third person shooter, tower defense game? I think so. So let’s dig up our trenches stick on some legs and go hunt us some Broadcast believers!
