It doesn’t feel like it has been a week already since the last podcast, but alas, time travels at an ever increasing rate as we do more podcasts. This week we talk about the new games on consoles, iPhones and Facebook. We discuss wether Fight Night Round 4 can be classed in the same genre umbrella as fighting games such as Street Fighter and Tekken. Caution, Podcast contains a plot spoiler regarding a character in Harry Potter.
At E3 I picked up some limited edition stuff that a few of you Xbox fans might be interested in having. First up is an Alan Wake faceplate for your Xbox number 453 of 500. Secondly is a Mass Effect 2 T-Shirt, again one of 500.
If these sound like things that you might be into have a listen to the latest podcast (here)
Blazing Birds! Magic! Rocket Riot! The Sims! All these games and more get glossed over because Brian’s feeling a little off. Also, there’s a terrible ‘interview’ with a Left 4 Dead 2 developer, but the PS3 prize package is growing! Someone needs to do something worthy of winning it, otherwise EVERYONE’S declared to be losers.
I’ve been amassing a small stockpile of PS3 titles that I think has reached critical mass and now need to be given away. There are a few Singstar titles along with the new Wireless microphones and some other games like LittleBigPlanet, KillZone 2, inFamous, 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand, Warhawk, and Buzz Quiz TV.
The details on how to enter the competition are in the last two podcasts, here and here.
Sony NZ have given us two copies of inFamous to give away along with three copies of the limited edition artbook comic that is not available in New Zealand. To win all you need to do is post a comment on this post stating what power you would like to have if you were exposed to some silly contraption that turned you into a PokeMan like elemental being.
Be sure to sign up using your real email address as that is how I will contact the winners.
In this episode, Brian admits to a lack of prowess when it comes to sex minigames, but the truth is, sex minigames are so last gen, what we’re looking forward to is a minigame that simulates the acts that someone undertakes in a state of extreme regret – Swirl the analogue stick 180 degrees to make your mascara run! Also, we debate the horrific visuals of Lynsey Davenport vs. the snub nose that one might think makes her resemble a pig, and by proxy, somehow cute? ButtonMasher Podcast: Don’t call it a comeback, we’ve been doing this for years.
The intrepid Podcastronauts are back with no real use to make up a word like “Podcastronauts” other than the fact that it sounds cool. Wugga tries to explain Persona 4, fails. Brian tries to feign an interest in fighting games, fails. Gino tries to understand why a Sega Mega Drive game compilation can be called “Ultimate” without Sonic 3 & Knuckles, also fails. But Gar, he’s special. And of course, the biggest gaming news of the week makes a comeback in the form of MAGNA CARTA 2. Actually that’s not really true, because none of us know anything about that game. Oh well, thems the breaks!
If you haven’t already listened to the latest podcast you should be very concerned, first of all there might have been vital information about the rapture in there that you could have missed out on and when everyone is busy getting whisked away and saved, thanks to our info, you’ll be sitting there on the internet all by yourself, ’cause you know everyone else has already listened to it.
Well don’t worry too much, that info wasn’t in this weeks podcast but it did have a competition to win a game. The prize is the game of your choice on any platform from the EA range of games, all you have to do is listen to the latest podcast (found here) and do as we instruct.
(Offer does not include peripherals for games like RockBand)
