Has there ever been a Call of Duty level set in a world made of candy? We need some new locale!

Not, not David Farrier’s weird TV3 gaming segment, I’m talking about the upcoming game from The Behemoth (Alien Hominid & Castle Crashers), which has now been officially announced as “BattleBlock Theatre”. I can’t be the only one hanging out for more information on this. At any rate, the official trailer is behind the break; it looks to be keeping with the great tradition of The Behemoth’s unique art style, with possibly an extra pinch of being a jerk to your friends (I can’t be sure if the video is player vs player or just solo).
Click here to view the embedded video.

Making their self publishing debut on the Playstation Store is Shatter from Sidhe, a break out game in the style of nothing I’ve ever played before. Our video focuses on the main points of the game to give you a feel for what to expect when you download it, and you should download it. But there is a lot more that could be explained, like how intricately the boss battles have been designed, how challenging it is to work out angles of reflection on the fly, the combination of pure simple block breaking or the extreme pace of having multiple balls on the fly.

Stunning visual style and an almost organically crafted custom sound track there is a lot to love about the final result, there are some very minor issues but overall a very positive experience. I do say that the game is awful during the video, I am referring to the way my brain feels while trying to multitask in some of the levels, that a game can challenge me like this only makes me want to play it more. Just get it already.
