Default TViX M-6500a, the best multimedia player ever

Well, I don't know... yet, I ordered one last friday and it should be here tomorrow, cost around $600 without a HDD (Don't actually need one)

It does everything, see: http://www.tvix.co.kr/Eng/products/HDM6500A.aspx

Has anyone else got one of these?

I will post a write up once I have had a decent play!

it was around the $600 mark - there doesn't appear to be any NZ resellers so it was bought in from Australia.

I'm going to try and become the NZ reseller - we shall see how we go

Awesome!

Gonna pick up a wireless dongle with it (Doesn't come with one... kinda suck) played 720p Rambo and Transformers (MKV H264) without any glitches

The interface is simple, easy to use and very straight forward.

I haven't tried the network features yet, but I can't imagine it being an issue! - once I try the wireless streaming I will decided if I want to get a HDD for it.

I can't wait for the freeview tuner and will definitely get a HDD when it becomes available for the mpeg4 encoding that we use in NZ (The HDD allows DTV recording).

Setup was easy and upgrading the firmware was even easier!

It has two USB port's, which can handle two external hdd's or USB memory stick's, it may work with a USB hub - I haven't tried.

Would throughly recommend this to anyone looking for a media center!

I'm using HDMI at the moment, although I will probably swap the HDMI audio to Optical.

I would seriously look at putting more info on that website, cos there are people like me who are way too lazy to e-mail you questions but want to know more.

The Tvix website is just undergoing some final amendments and will be live soon.

But in the meantime the Tvix 6500 with NZ FreeView HD tuner are listed on Trademe with specification and pictures.
