Default Killzone 2 server

Anyone else having trouble getting on-line with K2 tonight? (7-May-2009 10pm). Keep getting that generic 100002 error stating its my network thats at fault which of course its not as everything else seems to be working.

That may have been the reason on the 7th but I'll be damned if I can have a good game since then. Its lag, lag, lag and disconnects. Its not my connection as all other tests seem to yield great results!

Nothing puts me off picking up a game more and playing than it not working as it should. I don't see K2 surviving the upcoming multiplayer onslaught that will be MW2.

Prob right there 2nd about MW2 if they get the multiplayer p2p region selection in there, ill be getting it on XB though.

Since my XB has been away ive been left with KZ2 as my only FPS multi to play (bar Quake live) and ive been enjoying it more than ever.

I dunno man... I jumped on rfom the other night and it's still going pretty strong. If thats the case, I'd say KZ2 won't be completly rubbed out by MW2

KZ2 and COD appeal to different niches, I prefer KZ2/Resistance 2 online gameplay over COD4. I don't think KZ2 or Resistance will never totally die out but they will suffer a bit over COD MW2, but I still don't see why you guys are mangasming over MW2, COD4 was fun but it was far from being numero uno of all shooter games.

I disagree, COD4 set the new standard fro FPS, KZ2 tried to do the same but failed.

Still a GREAT game though and i fully enjoy it

I disagree with you Viva, KZ2 kept pretty simple as far as fps goes, I don't think it tried to change anything.

I much prefer KZ2 over COD4 also, I know so many ppl rate it as the best online game, but it's just ok by me

I found it was basically a FPS MMO where you spend 100 hours grinding in order to get abilities you should have gotten in the first 8-10 hours of playing online.

its not an MMO at all. and there is no grinding. its not like you go kills pigs for 20 hours to get a silencer for a weapon. you just play and as your play you get upgrades

Said like a true addict.

"Grinding is a term used in video gaming to describe the process of engaging in repetitive and/or non-entertaining gameplay in order to gain access to other features within the game.[1][2] The most common usage is in the context of MMORPGs and console role-playing games, such as Dragon Quest, or Diablo II, in which it is often necessary for a character to repeatedly kill AI-controlled monsters, using basically the same strategy over and over again, in order to advance their character level to be able to access newer content. Grinding can also appear in other games in which features can be unlocked."

yea its a good game if you play often but if you play an hour each week your not gonna get anywhere. and you mightn ot enjoy if if someone P90'ing you all the time and all you have is an M4
its just a longer ranking system and deeper than KZ2 and theres nothing wrong with that

Well, no mind anymore. Listed my copy of KZ2 on TradeMe. Am going to give up on multiplayer for a while and focus on some single player goodness (RE5 then InFamous when it comes out, etc)
