Default F1 2010 coming soon

Any one excited for this?

I'm am, I'm a little concerned what Codey's will do with it. I liked dirt, didn't really like Grid and I understand F1 is being developed using the same engine.

Fingers crossed it's awesome.

I think the F4 parts of GRiD were really well done and had an excellent sense of speed.
If they can make it more sim-like and retain that speed and feel of racing, then I think they will be able to pull off a very satisfying game.

Put it this way, I have more faith in them delivering than I do of Black Bean delivering a decent WRC game (sadly).

Yeah, I'm looking forward too it.
I enjoyed the last Dirt and Grid games, so graphically it should be top notch.

I'm not that interested in the next WRC game either tbh.
Haven't been impressed at all with their last games (SBK and Superstars V8)

With TDU2 and GT5 (if you have a PS3) coming out soon as well, there should be enough for racing fans (if they have enough mooolah)

it looks quite sharp in the videos I have seen. it could go either way though codies are hit or miss with their racing games.

This has been in development for like two years, they basically released F12009 on Wii as a bit of a ground test. It's using the same engine, yes, but it's been developed with input from formula one drivers (Anthony Davidson I think), there are things like, when it's wet there'll be a drying line on the track, which will eat up your wet tyres faster, so you will have to balance between driving offline to keep the tyres wet and cool, or driving on the drying line and having them go off quickly.

One thing I kind of hope for is the return of the flags from V8 Supercars 3, yellow flags for dangerous accidents where no overtaking is allowed in the sector, black flags for causing avoidable accidents, that would really be the icing on the cake for me.

Super hyped, day one purchase for me for sure.

Supposed to be wet in Hungary this weekend, Sparky =D

September 24th. Cool. Enough time to put in a pre-order and pay it off.
Will wait and see what the verdict is on OzGameShop and give them a whirl.
$85 vs 100+ locally

I hope they aren't planning on marketing this to Americans. It won't win-over that crowd and will totally alienate everyone who does care about F1.

The peripheral stuff outside of the car also doesn't interest me. I hope that the career can be tailored to skip all the press junkets, podium waving and chatfests with the team, otherwise its going to get very annoying.

It also looks like its going to be yet another Codemasters game that will force me to have to kill the voice in my helmet. Instead of an American surfer saying "dude" every 5 seconds, its going to be someone telling you how to slipstream like you are a four year old...

Looks pretty cool, I'd like to get it on PS3 because I prefer the logitech wheel, but if all you goons are getting it on 360 I'll go that way
