Tel's post in the "Well i NEVER" thread reminded me that i need to get a copy of Bully. $21 on the EB Games website, but it looks like they have removed being able to search for it in your local EB via postcode. WTF? Why?

So now i have to phone one of the stores! Yeah i know, not that big a deal, but i don't have the time to wait for 15 minutes while some munter (Gazza excluded ) looks for it. It'll be "Well my system is showing one unit in stock" ...... "Can you check for me please, as i don't want to make a special trip if it isn't there"....... "Sure back in a moment" ....... 15 minutes later ........ZZZZZzzzzzzzzz

Can someone please tell me why you guys pre-order with a FULL payment and not the minimum required??

I think I asked this before once and got the answer "because I had the money at the time and this way I wouldn't spend it before the game releases".

Is it really to do with lack of discipline?

If you place a pre-order with FULL payment, and the game store goes under or into receivership (think Games Plus), you can lose everything and not just the minimum deposit required to place the pre-order!

Before you mentioned that, I would have pre-ordered with the full payment if I had the money. But I never have the money, so I always have the minimum deposit sitting with them until I pick it up

I sympathise somewhat. I can see that sometimes someone might have save up for a new game only for something to "come up" requiring the saved money to be spent on that ie. no game.

But then if you have paid in full for the game then needed the money for the emergency you'd be in a similar predicament wouldn't you?
