I know its a big bump but I didn't want to start another thread just for donuts/doughnuts.

Ok so we have a new donut store in Lower Hutt who deep fry theirs. We want to make our own now. Who has tried one of those donut maker machines? Do they inject oil while they cook them? They just look like a funny shaped toastie maker to me.

Which gave me a stupid idea....I got a new Breville Snack Creations. Its like a toastie maker that makes poptart shaped toasties. We even followed one included recipe to apple pies by putting flaky pastry in instead of bread. Another one was making american hotdogs in it, they worked great.

So if they work the same would this work? And whats the recipe you use for it?
