Default Adversity Auckland LAN

Sparzx from www.adversitygaming.com is organising a 360 LAN up in Aucks.

Scheduled for July.

If you were to take part which games would you like to see there?

Also shout out below if you have interest in a game unlisted on the poll.

I'd definitely go to this if I was still in the country at the time. I checked out the Wellington one a few weeks ago and it looked awesome!

Figured I should probably post up here and actually say Hi :P

Doing a *hopefully* final visit of the venue on Tuesday, so should be able to give more details following that.

Weekend is planned for July 7-8, and you'll be able to stay overnight at the venue.

Lots of free parking, plus there is the possibility of the PC LAN happening on the same weekend, at the same venue (so you'll be able to have access to check out that event also!)

We're hoping for around 150 gamers - Our LAN in Wellington this year had 120.

Games are currently sitting with Halo: Reach, MW3, Gears 3, + a few fighting game titles (Standing Fierce are working with us to bring the best experience to the fighting gamers)

If you're not up for playing competitively with the 'hard out' guys, we'll have social passes where you can bring your gear and play socially with friends for a couple of days, or go into matchmaking via Xbox Live.

As I said to Mriceguy, I'd love to get you guys involved because it seriously is an awesome experience to be among that many like-minded people.

Aaaaaand some pics!

Always open to answer questions, and will try to bend over backwards as much as I can to look after everyones best interests!

Same

Does look like quite a professional setup though, for sure.

I feel like it'd be cool if we could do a ButtonMasher meet up at something like this.
I know Xlan was a place where first contact was made with a few good ButtonMashers, but that gig was always far too expensive to endorse to people with less non-competitive interests.

Actually, speaking of Xlan, won't this be around the same time?

Not a 360 game but I'd love to see Starcraft 2 there. It has a good following and we have a few very good players and one pro one. We have had around 50 guys for out Auckland lans and it could be something really cool in addition to your current line up.

would love some sort of mixture of game challenge, like 4-8 games and points are given for 1st/2nd/3rd etc and then final tally would produce a winner..
just a dream hahaha

Now a meet up at this would be cool, with a casual LAN for good measure.

Hahaha you're next mate.

There will be a stand for Adversity Gaming at the Hamilton Armageddon if people around the area want to have a go at beating me at Halo or some other people at MW3 2v2's.

http://armageddonexpo.com/nz/special...versity-gaming

I know this isn't the perfect place to post that link but thought I'd build a bit of hype behind this and the future LAN in Auckland.

Just gonna chuck a casual bump on this.

Rego's and such close on June 20th, and for those who didn't want to compete with all the hardout guys, we've got some social tournaments and specific social passes for those who just want to meet up, play some games and get amongst the whole lot.

Main info:
http://www.adversitygaming.com/topic...-announcement/

Registration:
http://www.adversitygaming.com/index...=show&pageId=1

Registered teams:
http://www.adversitygaming.com/index...show&pageId=10

Social passes are $30 and give you a seat, access to the network (and nommy internet speeds) as well as entry into any social tournaments throughout the weekend (just you TRY and beat me at Viva Pinata!)

In regards to xLAN, I believe that company isn't being continued at this stage, so this LAN is our response to it (at least from a console side).

Also.
It's my birthday on the Saturday.
Your attendance can be my present ;D
