Default Puzzle Bobble Universe

$25 as one of Mighty Ape's Daily Deals.

I'm tempted. Generally I've always had a good time with Puzzle Bobble/Bust A Move, but I can't help but think that I probably won't have time, won't have anyone with a 3DS who's keen to play multiplayer, and it'll probably end up being even cheaper down the line.

Hmmm - just leveled up my 3DS interest.

Maybe it's time to sell the PS3...

I bought it 5 minutes before the deal expired.

I hope it's not bad. I'd say "watch this space" but I think it's just you and me that have any interest in this Captain. Taito fans are hard to find these days.

If it was on the eShop I'd probably pick it up, but I find it weird to get what is the equivalent of a downloadable title through retail these days. The handheld market sure is changing.

It's not an issue exclusive to the handheld market, though. Brain Training was an XBLA game, which I saw in a retail box (and price) for the PS3 at EB later. Weird.

As for Puzzle Bobble Universe... yeah.... I guess it's damning enough that I say it's exactly what anyone would expect and nothing more.

Kinda wish they'd done something streetpassy with it.

I would swear I was the only person who owned a 3DS if it wasn't for this blog. I went through central Auckland to airpot, flew to Wellington and walked all over central wellington with my 3DS in sleep mode. Total streetpass hits = 0.

Yeah, the population density of NZ isn't great for 3DSes. I got like 6 or so 'in the wild' passes when I was staying in the CBD of Sydney, so that's perhaps telling. Take it along to a convention though, even a small one like Armageddon, and you should get a good number of them.
If we ever pass in the street, you'll have your pick of the puzzle pieces!

I loved Bubble Bobble, not so much the puzzle version but I'd still get it if I could warrant it.

Occasionally I'd get the odd StreetPass hit walking down Queen Street in Auckland.

Here in Seattle, I can pretty much guarantee I'll get at least one any time I take my 3DS into Downtown.

I'd also pick up Puzzle Bobble if it were on the e-shop. For whatever reason, I really have a hard time picking up puzzle games for more than about $20 :/
