I just like the possibilities it creates. I wouldnt pay to see a hologram of a band but I would do for a movie

I think a movie is different. I'd be sweet with going to see Pink Floyd's The Wall or something equally epic that uses that type of tech.
But the more i think about it as a 'live' medium, the more disrespectful it seems - from a dead musicians perspective, and also from an audience point of view. As a technology in itself, i think it's seriously cool. I suppose i'm really just not into using it to resurrect the dead. |

Any of you crazy rap and hip-hop lovin' mofos heard of Death Grips?
Been getting into thair latest release, The Money Store. Check out "I've Seen Footage"; Disclaimer; do not watch this vid if you are prone to photosensitive seizures! Yeah i really like it, it's some twisted shit, for sure. Nice to see a major record label supporting this kind of crazy, manic, anti-mainstream kind of stuff. Be interested to hear what y'all think of it ![]() |

So cheesy 80's for the win? Yeah, it's hard to NOT like that. The whole Lovelock album is very 80's. But super-cool too. I love how the New Musical Express described it "cosmic-disco-meets-yacht-rock".
http://www.nme.com/reviews/lovelock/13054 The last track on the album, Deco Delight, is just as awesome. Death Grips is a 'grower', particularly the music - very messed up indeed. Dense, and kinda inaccessible in a lot of ways, but the more i listen to it, the more i like it. I do like a bit of dubstep, even the likes of Skrillex. I thought the skills in that vid were pretty tight. |

I can appreciate dubstep for what it is, but some of it is just SHIT, I've always liked electronic music even when I was younger, I remember going to see Pitch Black way back in the 90's it blew my mind.

Yeah, i've heard a few of their tunes, and i have to admit, i just don't get it; it all just seems so pedestrian and generic. I must be missing something.
I prefer the real Subtract. Kiwi's too; |

Sad news about Adam "MCA" Yauch from the Beastie Boys passing away. Only 47 too; far too young to die. I've been hammering Licensed to Ill last couple of days since i heard the news. Out of respect and rememberance.
