Xbox Live already has block communication and file complaint (and mute) features, but I like the suggestion to auto mute once you pass a troll threshhold.

I can't believe some of the crap female gamers have to deal with.

Seriosuly though, how hard would it be for Microsoft to introduce an Auto-mute feature for all the douche-bags out there? The dicks who get muted in virtually all the games they play anyway?

Yeah, I don't think age is an excuse when it comes to this.

Some people (a minority) think they can do things online that they wouldn't get away with in the real world. It's the instant arsehole factor that the anonymity of the internet brings.

Absolutely - like that female Bioware employee that got totally abused over comments she made in 2006 regarding a very easy difficulty in games for those only really interested in the story rather than hardcore combat. No need, or real reason for it really.

That sort of thing speaks more about the person making the comment than the intended target.

I was surprised to see that the mute numbers were recorded.

When i said kids will be kids, i ment it, its low life immature spotting teenagers that are the main offenders here.

I never said it was an excuse, just point out its a common way for these partially developed people to act.

Its not just insulting people via the internet where these dropkicks excel.

Yeah, it was news to me to that mute stats are recorded. You'd think it would be reasoanably simple to implement auto mute.

For sure. The fact that they record them means they think it important. And the only useful conclusion to draw from the stats is how offensive they are. So why not do something about it? Auto-mute is a perfect idea.
