Didn't similar timing happen with Bioshock first time round?
At least you'll all get to finish Assassins Creed III properly, and GTA5 and Halo4 and and and... |

Urg I thought it looked really close to being done! Someone needs to put Irrational and Valve in the naughty chair and tell them that this shit isn't ok.

From xbox360achievements.org
Irrational Games has lost further staff from the Bioshock: Infinite team. Don Norbury and Clint Bundrick have departed their respective roles as Bioshock: Infinite’s AI and combat lead designers, in order to take up roles at Microsoft. It’s the latest move in a series of departures at Irrational. Art Director Nate Wells left for Uncharted and The Last of Us devs Naughty Dog back in August, while product development lead Tom Gerritson and producer Joseph Faulstick also walked earlier this year. Going the other way, Gears of War executive producer Rod Fergusson left Epic to join the Bioshock Infinite team. So should we be worried? Surely key talent walking out towards the end of a project isn’t a good sign? Don't forget that two co-op modes have reportedly been dumped and the release date has slipped too. Fingers crossed that all is well. |

It was slated for an pre-xmas 2012 release, then slipped to Q1 2013. Frankly I think its purely a marketing/sales thing. Why put it in the middle of CoD, Moh, AC3, Far Cry, Halo 4, Xcom etc....... (at least thats what I'm hoping anyway) |

Yeah i bet the game is rubbish. To me delays means the game is in a crap way. People have left the project from within but have been picked up by Microsoft. I will be surprised if it is a good game when released. GTA5 isn't this year is it?

First of all, it's not entirely out of the realms of possibility that the dudes leaving Irrational and joining Microsoft Studios have been headhunted.
Secondly, sometimes delays or even a back-to-the-drawing-board refresh can be for the best. Remember when Splinter Cell: Conviction was first unveiled? |

http://kotaku.com/5952289/microsoft-...tivision-up-to Thanks goodness they did a refresh of SC:C. Also think of Borderlands 1, that got a massive refresh after its first E3 showing. |

^ That's right - forgot that happened to Borderlands as well!
Where BioShock Infinite's concerned, I think we're fine as long as Ken Levine is at the wheel. |
