It’s always awful to hear about the closure of a studio, and the circumstances surrounding Big Huge Games’s demise (despite arguable merit and success of KoA: Reckoning) were weird and especially unfortunate. But there’s great news indicating that a lot of the staff are landing on their feet, and the biggest news regarding this is the proposed creation of a new studio under Epic Games. You can get it straight from the horses mouth at Epic Games, but it’s more of a statement of intention, and that intention is to expand and take on a large collection of talented individuals.

Yeah, been watching how this all panned out - the whole Curt Shilling/Rhode Island thing was quite sad reading really. I read that KoA shipped around 1.2million copies, but needed about 3million units to cover their loans etc.

I wonder how much the Rhode Island taxpayer will end up forking out as a result of BHG and 38 Studios going under.
