I looked at his FL, and saw Tel on there, so figured he might have been a friend of Tels (Tel has since confirmed that it isn't someone he knows). I suspect (as Tel also suggested to me), that he's a ButtonMasher lurker who hasn't yet registered on the forums.

It's no major - i guess he's just wanting to up his friend count, and there's a ton of people on my FL i barely know.
