Wink I'm looking for a casual relationship, candle-lit multiplayer, all-night playing

Hey all!

A new XBOX 360 owner here... I'm completely new to the scene and thought this would be a good place to find friends for the 360 scene!

Big shout out to VictoryFist (my only Live friend at the moment!)

At the moment I own the following:

-Indiana Jones: Lego
-Kung-Fu Panda
-Saints Row II

...and currently have the following on loan from the video store:

-Assassin's Creed
-Ace Combat 6
-Alone in the Dark

(OK i completely didn't notice the alliteration there)
(oh and, in case you didn't realize, I got the sweet $447 deal from EB Games on Cuba St)

Anyway, give me a yell, I'm keen to add some new friends to my new 360 universe... look forward to meeting y'all!

Hi there, I thought someone said that the free Saints Row with that pack you bought was for the first, not the sequel?

Welcome

Default Hey mate!

Hi!

Well, that's what it looked like to me on that pack, but I saw the guy putting Saint's Row II in the box... I'm not one to complain, really!

Perhaps he did it in error, I don't know! Anyway... the game has been really buggy actually... but I think the patch (that was downloaded last night?) should hopefully do something about that...

Awesome,

Thanks all, I will add you (and some random others I guess) on Live!

Yeah, Wellington rocks! Anyway, I've gotta sort through these damn connection issues first!

Default Ok

So, what games do all the NZ'ers play? I've just given up trying Saint's Row II... can't connect to anything it seems like (maybe I'm doing it wrong).

What are the must-haves for awesome online action?

Well I would highly recommend Left 4 Dead. Apart from that the usual suspects include Gears of War 2 and COD4 or 5.

Yay for another Wellingtonian. I suggest Halo for multiplayer action or Mass Effect if you're a RPG fan

I'm definitely an RPG fan (from back in the PSX days... FF series, Suikoden series, Alundra... the list goes on). I'm not aware if the 360 has RPG's like them (however I think FF13 is going to be on the 360 as well?) but something like Mass Effect looks mint.

I'll definitely give Halo 3, Left 4 Dead, GOW 2 (after I've played through the original) and COD 4&5 a good go. Looking forward to it.

Thanks all!

Then you DEFINITELY want to get your hands on Lost Odyssey. It's a 4 disc Japanese RPG from the creator of Final Fantasy. Really nice graphics, tear jerking story and all round nice guy.... err game

Yeah I might give that a go at some stage too. Is it turned based? I don't really like turn based RPGs though

It's VERY turn based
I usually hate turn based fighting, but there's definitely a strategy to it.
