Default Dead Rising Heading to the Wii

The Zombie hack and slash loved by thousands and thousands of 360 owners is now going to appear on the Wii. The Nintendo console is severely lacking in adult content and so this is sure to go down well if developed well.

The official site has opened and the release date is mentioned as being "this winter" so a late 2008 or early 2009 seems to be the plan. There is no mention of what type of features/control mechanics we can expect but I think everyone can use their imagination and guess what we will be in for.

So long as they fix the broken game saves, I will probably take a look at this sukka. I quite liked the 360 version that I played for a bit, but the save system was broken IMO.

So many people have been over this, it was designed that way ok? many people had no problems with the saves and completed it regardless.

Sorry, you're right, the saves were fine, my opinion was flawed. :\

I DID have a problem and so did many others. They could change the system and keep everyone happy with this next incarnation and potentially get more sales.

I dunno if letting you save as much as you wanted would "keep everyone happy". Believe it or not there's an appeal to a no-takebacks kind of system, even if such a system could be self imposed by the player. I also had no problem with the save system, but then I played infinity mode till it unlocked Arthur's boxer shorts, so my opinion is obviously representative of a certain demographic.
Having said that, I think it might actually be worthwhile to change the system for a Wii port. Chances are that if you have no problem with the save system in DR, you've already played it through thoroughly on the 360. The Wii is owned by such a vastly different demographic that altering the save system would probably be a decent decision to shift the game to be more in line with that kind of customer. Of course, you don't nessesarily want to go too far in that direction, since the next step is to take all the zombies out. Then the next is to replace Frank West with Mario and Jesse with Princess Peach... I'm sure you see where I'm going with this.
