There are 2 models of the same panel I think - the newer one has a pretty nice bezel and it swiveled too (which is important).
It just didn't look nice (the case). Plus the interface was pretty crappy.

I have a full hd 46" set in the lounge and a 32" HD ready set in the bedroom. IMO on a 32" screen you dont really need a full HD set, I feel it's only on the bigger sets that you'll notice the difference.

It seems like you're looking at 32" screens, so check this Samsung full HD 32" set. Current retail is $1299, but if you're like me you'll knock them down on price

If you're happy with HD Ready you could afford to upsize to maybe a 40" This is a nice set. Once again, knock em down on price. Good Luck

I don't think DSE does haggling, but I could be wrong.

Generally they don't. But if its a display model or a clearance model you might get lucky.

And i think they're more willing to haggle in their Powerhouse stores rather than the normal vanilla flavoured ones. We've done it a couple of times in the local Powerhouse here in Hamilton.

From memory LG uses the same LCD panels as Philips so it should be good. And that is a good price...

Sky UHF or Satellite? Satellite is digital and 576p from memory, normal UHF TV will look pretty bad compared to sky/dvd/pc/etc on any LCD.

its sky digital, but I'm comparing it to the old and other tvs. All old tubes but they all come in fine, the new tv has lines or hugh static and ghosting that seems odd for the reception to drasticly change like that from on tv to another.

Strange?!?! You haven't run any cables different (through a video or something?)?

Could be the RF antenna socket, sometimes they are 'a bit loose' on the centre pin....
