So I finally upgraded to a DSi and gave my original DS to the young fella. Definitely a step up in the visual department. It was a secondhand DSi so I was pleasantly surprised to find it had 1000 points on it to spend on DSiware.
Got Dark Void Zero and AlphaBounce. ![]() What are the other must have/decent DSiware titles? Is there anyway of getting Zelda Four Swords that they were giving away a while back? Had a old school moment when the right shoulder button stopped working, google said 'blow in the gap behind the button.' IT WORKED!!! ![]() |

LOL! Love the button fix. I do feel the need to ask, how come you didn't go for a second hand 3DS instead?
I don't think there are any major must have DSi specific games. Just the usual must have DS titles. |

Basically it was just too cheap to pass up. I'm on the look out for a 3DS though...

$200 used is the going rate I think, which seems like a good deal at the price of two console games. I'm still waiting for the rev.2 though, if I upgrade at all. Haven't used my DS in several years despite there being plenty of great games I haven't yet played, including Zelda Spirit Tracks which I even own.

AlphaBounce is my favourite DS game. It's huge too, and way deeper than it looks - i personally think it could have been a full-priced game. It was such a buzz finally finding earth
There was a Castlevania clone that i really enjoyed too, feck what was it called, Heart of ... hang on i'll grab the DSi and have a look ...... "Soul of Darkness". Was pretty cool. If you like soccer, Real Football 2010 is great. Crazy Golf is a cool touch-screen game. And less of a game, more of a music studio, is RTMK, or Rytmik - super-easy to get great sounding tunes happening. I spent many hours on that getting tunes sounding just right (edit; if you get Rytmik, use headphones - SOOO much better). And for 200 points, i also quite liked Extreme Hangman. I mean, it's hangman, but it's fun. For retro-fun, the Game & Watch titles are also great - love my Donkey Kong Jr. My auntie won $100K on the Golden Kiwi back in 1982, went overseas and brought me back a bunch of Game & Watch games. Wish i'd kept them! For puzzle games, i enjoyed Glow Artisan. Quite different. I've pretty much really enjoyed all the DSiWare games i've downloaded, with the exception of Fire Panic; that sucked. |
