TV: Avatar the Last Airbender

My wife and I love Avatar. It's really great - and it just keeps getting better as you go in.
We own the first series as a box set and we'll get the others when they come out.

And Naruto is terrible. Really, really bad. Like worse then DBZ. Like, Pokemon bad.

I feel Naruto shits all over Avatar, and that the first season (which is the only season I could stomach) was terrible, and I also feel it shouldn't take a whole season to get good.

It's not hard to see that when talking about art of any form that there is nothing but opinion involved. There can be no facts based on the liking/disliking of art. So in the art world, you'd be the one looking retarded in thinking a statement regarding art isn't implicitly differentiated.

Never watched Naruto, so cant comment. But i DID play a PSP game, and it definitely had the whole "snakes out mouth" shit going on.

Even in art there are things you can state for definite. When you word something to be so unqualified as "X is better than Y" (especially when you barely back it up,) you leave yourself open to ambiguity that you're saying something as an objective fact, you just come off as a pretentious, hating ass. I may not think so highly of you as to take your opinions to be fact, but I do think high enough of you to believe that you should be above the act of wandering into a thread, taking a dump in the form of your negative opinion stated as fact. It's not a lot better than those annoying prats who go into threads and use inequalities "naruto > avatar kthxbai"

If every time I wrote something on any forum I had to write "I feel..." or "it is my opinion" I just wouldn't write anything at all. If I am writing something, you can be damned sure from now on that it is only opinion and circumstance may allow it to be fact somewhere along the line. But I say chill the fuck out. You're coming off as way more of an ass than me saying "Naruto was better in the first 20 episodes than Avatar was".

Amen. There is no "Believe it!" or equivalent in the Japanese version. There's a Japanese colloquialism that Naruto adds to the end of a bunch of sentences, but it nowhere equates to BELIEVE IT!
