Dude, extended warranties are a total farse... even if you buy something that has a 12 month warranty, they have to honor a warranty for 3 years for electronic goods.

I believe the term in the CGA is along the lines of "Reasonable Life" which they define as 3 years or greater for electronic goods.

So, if anyone tells you to buy an extended warranty they are idiots!

yeah I haven't seen any date anywhere so I am assuming this is an immediate price drop. good move microsoft with the likes of gears of war 2 just released should sell a few 360's over the holidays I think.
