When I am in Auckland and have time I usually grab a pizza from Gina's pizzaria which is run by italians, they also have some good Hot Chocolate.

If I ever make it to Queenstown I'll definately check it out.

Very easy place to find, should have mentioned that. It's on the waterfront right in town and it's hard to miss. It's the crowded place with outside seating where everyone is enjoying fresh-made chocolate and hot chocolate. We didn't check out the deserts but needless to say they all have a chocolately theme.

I never used to like coffee until I started working at a cafe, and had to drink it when I started making it. Now I love it! I'm not an addict though, I have maybe 2 a day only at work since I don't have my own machine yet. I'm the main Barista at work though so I make lots of coffee. Hot damn there's a real art to it, but it doesn't help that we buy in cheap milk.

Nice

That reminds me, I bought a used book the other day, called Espresso from '94. It's got some awesome espresso-based recipes in it, one of them being biscotti.

Quick and dirty scan if anyone's interested.

I think I heard something very similar somewhere else, and said to the person "2 a day, not an addict?"

If you had 2 cigarettes a day you'd be called an addict... and I'd wager if you stopped drinking coffee you'd get withdrawal symptoms. In what way are you not an addict?

I don't think 2 cigarettes a day is addicted. Chain-smoking the whole pack in one day is addicted.

I have usually 1 - 5 coffee's a day @ work but rarely when I'm not working.

And I only had two coffee's in total over the fortnight Christmas break, both were made by Dad when I was staying at maw and paw's house.

Am I an addict?

I think 2 Cigarettes a day is definitely addicted.

Fluxcore, I should have added a comma in front of the word only:

"I have maybe 2 a day, only at work since I don't have my own machine yet."

And I only work 4 days a week. The other 3 days I drink no coffee, unless I go to a cafe when I'm not at work, which is rare.

So I would hope that I'm not addicted! When I'm not working at a cafe anymore, I also still hope not to be addicted. I can't stand non-espresso coffee so it would be an expensive habit.

I stand corrected. I don't smoke cigarettes, never have, so i'm just spouting BS really

I guess it's sort of similar to how insurance co's treat smokers - you generally have to have given up, i.e not smoked, for 2 years before you can class yourself as a non-smoker (if you've smoked before that is)

FaceAche those biscotti look familiar

I never understood why biscotti was so expensive at cafes. I thought it might be subject to a "snob tax".

Then I learnt how to make it.

Mix raw ingredients into a "loaf". Bake. Take out "loaf" and slice into pieces. Put pieces back into oven. Take out and turn pieces over to other side. Return to oven. Whew!
