Oh my god you guys are bloody LEGENDS.
I can honestly hand on heart say that I've never been to be a better Gaming sale in my entire life (and those who know me will know that says a lot). I spent over $100 and am considering a $299 DSi (should I? should I?). Best deal will have to be the SingStar wireless mics for $60 (still expensive and occupies as USB port but I'm seriously over the obstacle course posed by the cords). Others included: Big Brain Academy Wii for $30 SingStar Vol. 1 $15 (SingStar Pop is $40) Animal Crossing and Wii Speak for $70 (now what to do with yet ANOTHER Nintendo accessory...) |

I want to add here that the reason that I haven't hit such a good sale for years, is the growing trend for "going out of business" places NOT to clear their stock.
Look at Soundnz. After stealing people's pre-order deposits and not delivering, and cancelling gift vouchers, they then held half hearted "10-20%" type sales knowing people would think they were getting a bargain because they were in receivership. Finally they just offload the remaining stock to the highest bidding retailer prepared to resell the stock. Which means we get no fire sales. Thanks guys. |

Nah no more Worms 2 left.
What happened was, i saw it on this table of randon stuff - UMD's, loose discs, etc. It was Worms 2 cartridge and manual in a bag, sellotaped to a Worms 1 case, with a $20 sticker on it. Cheapest i'd seen it was on special at JB's for $34, so i grabbed it. Took it to the counter, and the dude said "This is $20, but if you see that dude over there, he'll give you a bit more discount". I turn around, and the table is crowded with people 2-3 deep. Turns out that they'd just announced it over the PA system - everything on this table, $2.01. They had loose Pokemon cartridges, Ratatouille cartridges, and all kinds of other shit on the table. I already had five games in my hand, and it looked like the crowd were starting to elbow each other out of the way, so i split. Was rad. |

This is just a badly researched broad sweeping comment.....But I get the feeling that Trade Me has had a sort of natural price adjustment in games (well 360 at least).
There still seems to be the inability to drop under the magic $20 figure. But there still seems to be better deals around. IE: nabbed PURE for $39 and Banjo for $30. (including postage) |
