Its Friday morning and I decide to log into PS Store to see what delights we have this week. Of special interest is any new PSOne classics for me to play on my PSP.
Actually, lets cut the bull$hit. Why don't we have the same selection of PSOne games that are available in other parts of the world on PSN. We get Creatures 3 to add to our anemic list of titles and yet on the US Store they have some real powerhouse titles including R-Type, Castlevania and Spyro. These games have all be on sale in NZ in the past for the PSOne so what's the problem? Makes me wonder if Sony NZ actually brings anything to the relationship between NZ PS gamers and Sony. |

I agree. I want Castlevania, Wild Arms and Suikoden... well, not so much that last one, cos I have it on disc, but thats not the point

It's probably getting licensing and whatnot, also a PAL release is different from NTSC, and the only PAL store that gets more is Japan (then there's translating). I agree that it's not very acceptable on their behalf, but it's not as simple as drag and dropping a file into the different regional stores

As for licensing, I would have thought this had already been done as the games have all been available in the past. However, regardless of why I expect Sony NZ to post release dates or to let gamers know what's going on. No, they release nothing. Oh wait, no, every so often they open there mouth to talk about release dates for Play TV....but boy, did they ever prematurely announce that one. |

Yeh I am fully behind Close Second what Sony NZ is doing is total BS. Considering these games have been available since forever in the US and in most other countries it is total bollocks that they can't get them over here in our store. It just reeks of laziness and they think that we'll lap up the shit they keep giving us because there is no "competition" to control this market.
They need to get their act together and start shipping us our games rather than taking a page from Nintendo's book and cock slapping us around like they own the place. |

What's that old saying... If you can then do If you can't then teach... ...and if you can do neither then perhaps Sony NZ is for you. |

Nah, it's just an example. It's the same for a lot of games released on PSN and Xbox live. Normally they are all released at the same time for everyone except for SONY EU

But Sony EU received ZEN Pinball week before last and we did not.

Yea, on the odd occasion, we get it worse than SONY EU, but I'm pretty sure they're the guys that run our shop. I remember it was the same for High Velocity bowling aswell

Hacked PSPs have been able to run ALL (afaik) PSOne games for YEARS.
