The new game offers the ability to create any combination of rock you want. Three microphones and one guitar? Okay. Two drummers and two guitars? No problem. Four drummers? Insane, but yes.

i have not had a chance to play world tour yet and with rockband 2 comming end of the year im a a loss for what to get.

except I still like the drums layout CONCEPT of world tour. Its just terribly implemented. (unreliable)

And the inconsistency, menu navigation, and songs are meh.

I reserve judgment on GH5, it needs a drum kit redesign (stability accuracy and reliability), refinement (not new features and more notes) and somehow support backwards compatibility with GH2, GH3 and WT dlc.

The in performance presentation is fine, obviously they will be adding (like they already have with world tour: Metallica) progress to 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 stars while in song, hopefully have less KFC references unless they have buckethead actually in the game.

I'm thinking I should not have got world tour and waited for refinement on the drumkit peripheral. But I still broke my wrist (not in the sense of breaking bones or whatnot, more like signs of OOS/RSI that took a few months to go away) from work + jumping into expert drums as soon as possible and flailing madly trying to get the rhythms right, so I guess it has its merits there.

Well they've already announced that you'll be able to transfer all GHWT tracks (including dlc) over to GH5. I doubt you'll be able to transfer the others though, it'd mean they'd have to add drum note list and whatever they need for vocals.
