I'm pretty damn pumped for both. I'm over the moon that GT psp is confirmed for October 09, I'm even more excited after watching this interview on Youtube.
Confirmed: Nurinburgring full course on the PSP version.

I'm pretty pumped for gt5 indeed. There's around four years' worth of pumpage right here.
No news on a release date for gt5 yet though, despite the dude saying it "could be released at any time" lol.

GT series has always for me been above any other.
they get the realism bit spot on, i do like customization to, which is does lack. not sure how much the full will have. It does seem to be dragging though, i want the game now ![]()

Haha, it's lacked customisation rather severely in the past, yes. Buying a new car just so you can have a different colour paint? Lol. The most you could do in GT4 was put on some different wheels and a stupid hueg rear wing... and wash your car :3 That was nice.
Now that Forza's shown us how customisation is done, I hope Polyphony will pick up that the ability to personalise your cars makes such a huge difference in playability of the game. Hmm. I wonder.

The PSP Go looks great however, when is it likely to be released in NZ and will we have to wait until the PSP Go is released (anywhere) before we get to download the games for our regular PSP consoles?
I would like to start downloading PSP games off PSN sooner rather than later! |

With some great new games coming the way of the PSP I'm wondering if they will all work with the PSP-1000 which only has 32MB RAM. I have not heard much about full backward compatibility with all previous PSP models, especially with games like GT.

I'd hope they wouldn't limit games just to keep them backwards compatible though.
ZOOM gt5 is cool. I must play it. So why do you think the trailer shows nothing in the way of car painting, tuning, modification or even any sort of cool physics or damage modelling? It's just like... "here are some really amazing looking cars, guyez. Look, we bought WRC and Nascar rights." Is gt5 simply going to be gt4 with better graphics (a la gt5 prologue)?

Crap, I'd hate to have to buy another PSP due to the new iterations, hopefully they don't cut out the early adopters like myself.

Oh wow... for all the amazing physics updates, that top video of Slowbro driving R246 seems to show the same "ram the wall and keep going" crash physics of the earlier games... And why does he have the traction control settings up onscreen the whole time?! Gah.
Car damage seems to be mysteriously turned off too. Is this video actually just gt5 prologue with an extra track, perhaps?

traction control setting is turned on/off with the dynamic wheel thingie, he just didn't turn it off. Definitely looks like damage is turned off.
TBH the hitting the wall style of driving is painfully slow, there's no advantage to it, hopefully with damage on it'll slow them down even more, it'll be enough to encourage racers to at-least attempt proper lines.

Hell yah. It'll be super happy day next year when it gets released
I know you can change the traction and torque split and everything (well, actually, that looks new?) live, but why don't they turn the little display icon off when they've finished messing with it? It's right on the screen there... I find it so irritating and I'm not even playing. Haha. PEOW! I'm pretty sure there will be corners (especially on that Tokyo track) on which crashing and riding the wall are faster than actually driving it. Or, at least, not a lot slower than driving it well. The prologue dodged this problem by having the retarded time penalty system implemented, but I would've thought the full game would have the car getting shunted and spun and flipped about much more dramatically than in that video. Doing 150km/h into a barrier like these dudes are doing shouldn't really result in the car just kind of bumping back on track like that. :-< This is weird; I'm the biggest GT fanboy around but I'm complaining about it already.. hmm. I guess there's always the "standard" or "professional" physics option o_o Hopefully the super damage will change things (also, I wonder why R246 has made it back into the game. It's a fictional track and they could've made a brand new one or some changes to it to spice it up or something... is it actually based on a street circuit from some real racing event? Or was it just popular? I've never really liked it. At least I'll have 69 other tracks to race on, I suppose. ) haha. mega tl;dr./ saldkfjsdaklf
