Default UPnP Setting

I keep getting booted from Killzone 2 matches and the problem seems to be related to the fact that my UPnP is not available. However, its set to enabled on both my PS3 and on my modem (502T) and yet when I do my network test from the XMB it says UPnP is not available.

Any suggestions?

Thats a dlink right? Throw the stupid thing out and get this

It's the only modem I have used that upnp or port forwarding works flawlessly on.

Whats your nat type? It'd more likely be that.

Nat Type 2.

It annoys me that rebooting the modem resolves the issue for a while.

D-Link are shat, buy something decent! Linksys are generally okay, the new standard routers from Telecom are surprisingly good but to get at their advanced features requires some understanding of routers and their various technologies.

Linksys is also a good bet for a great workhorse yet relatively feature lacking router.

You won't regret spending the $$

I have a d-link with Nat type 2 aswell... I hardly ever have any trouble with my connection and have never had any problems with KZ2.

Maybe try doing the DMZ thingy?

Yeah, they aren't bad really - I was quite impressed but got frustrated trying to setup static routes for internal networks via telnet... I'm used to Cisco mind you.
