Is there much point in getting used to a jailbreak when it's only a few months until iOS 5?
I found jailbreaking annoying in the sense that I had to wait for the hackers to update their software before I could update iOS. Since Apple releases new point-updates every 3 months or so, it felt like I was constantly waiting for the hackers in order to benefit from the iOS updates. I decided I preferred to not worry about it and benefit from the updates rather than deal with a jailbroken device for a couple of 'nice to have' features that I didn't use much of the time. |

And that is exactly why Im unsure if I want to do it. Although I can always just try for now and restore it with ios5 when the time comes. At least for now there will be an advantage in jailbreaking. Ios5 is still months off isnt it?

Definitely test it out. I was just recalling how much I disliked having a jailbroken iPhone :P
iOS 5 was listed as coming in 'Fall' so, Spring for us. A safe bet is a September release alongside the clockwork iPod update, and probably also iPhone 4S/5. |
