Just over twenty light years from Earth lies Gliese 581d, one of the few planets outside our solar system thought capable of housing life. Cosmos Magazine has created a website to take messages from Earthlings and transmit them to this distant planet just in case its inhabitants are listening. It will take more than twenty years for the signal to get there and there is no guarantee the message will be understood, but why not give it a go? You never know who or what might receive your text.
