Yep. Two outta two I didnt like. Youll have to send me down some of your Jango to try. Cant wait to try the other two you sent. Am especially looking forward to the black pilsen

Had a couple of my porters tonight. Am very happy with the way it turned out. Dry hopped with sauvin and it comes through with a nice passionfruit finish to the cocoa and chocolate of the malt. Next time Ill add even more in the dry hop. Chickened out a bit on that one

I dont dry hop anymore I just use extra hops in the last 15min of the boil if I want more hop aroma/flavour it seems to have the same effect as dry hopping.
I think I went abit soft on the hops in the Dark Vader tho ,Ill have another try next week and see how its moving,Ill ship some more samples next time my sisters down

Well I did another brew today ,I now have 140L of beer on the go I modified the Trinity recipe a tad .
Also I tryed the foursome again its a bit "thin" like a mexican beer not really my style not enough hop aroma or bitterness for me ,The mash was done at 62' so it lacks body but would be awesome on a hot summers day being really easy to drink maybe with a wedge of lime..................or a shot of Tequila
I hope to do another mash in 2 weeks time once my conditioner is empty and crack over the 200L mark summers coming gota keep brewing

Also where are you sparky I need that Temp controller installed

^All good ,Im just checking my notes on the last Trinity clone brew and noticed it has the same OG as the stormtrooper its going to be a ripper of a beer if it ferments out the same its going pretty strong atm so I think it could be another +7%er
The quartett batch is nearly ready to bottle

This thread makes me want to try brewing beer...

I love trying obscure brews. Each week or two I try to grab something I've never tried before from the bottle shop. Luckily there are plenty of places in Hamilton that stock all manner of different beers.

Last one I tried was Boundary Rd Brewery. They have a sharp Pilsener and a nice hoppy ale. Was also pleasantly surprised by Speights Pilsener (though I had jsut had two bottles of Waikato beforehand).

That is a bold claim. I will require proof of this forthwith.

I tryed a brew last night which was 2 different batches blended..........I only did 4 bottles, its the dark pilsen and a hybred Pilsen mashed with rice and some honey after the boil they were mixed and bottle conditioned .
I was going to freeze them b4 bottling to raise the abv which I should of done because its abit sweeter and would of made a good dessert beer
