TV3 ripping off Kevin Butler

There's a new ad on TV3 advertising a show lineup on some night of the week. I didn't manage to see the whole thing but it sounded very familiar.

A girl asking what shows were on TV3.
And an announcer replying "Two words: mon-tage", and a series of clips were shown.

Is there a rip off here, or am I looking too much into it?

I haven't seen the ad on TV 3 but you do realize that the words "mon - targe" was not invented by Kevin Butler? It is a VERY old internet joke.

As Sweetsman said Mon Tage was not invented by Sony infact im sure the stole it themselves, its been an internet meme for a long time, they still dont get any points for originality though do they.

Have you seen the ad yet? Cause it doesn't sound like you have. Its a 1:1 copy FFS! The 'Mon-Tage' part is merely one of a million similarities.

Right off the bat it starts with "Dear TV3" (Dear PlayStation).
Whatshisface Henwood is sitting on the desk exactly like KB does.
It ends with Henwood doing a glam metal solo exactly like KB does.

It is not a parody or a homage. It is a forgery plain as day.
