Having a go at making rewena bread. Made a starter bug. Looking bubbly. Has anyone tried this before ?

I wanted too but could never find good info on making a starter bug, just lots of different info on keeping and growing one after its started. I wanted to try writing a few recipes bast on using rewena.

Screwed my first attempt. Was goin good til I decided to put it in a new container. Brewed some pretty good alcohol by the smell of it. Started again with a bigger container. Fingers crossed

So far so good. Starter has doubled and looks very bubbly. Gonna feed the bitch and see what happens. I think this is where I killed it last time

Wow shes a fertile beast ! Fed her about an hour ago and shes already grown by about 50%. Started off at about 200ml and now about 500ml. I think Ill name her...

Baked a loaf last weekend. Flavour was good but was quite flat. Had it proving in the back of my car while I drove up the mountain. Too bumpy and not warm enough. Also used an oven that sucked. Ended up almost grilling the top. Will have another go in 2 weeks when Im back from Oz. Got a good feeling about the next one
