Ohhhhh lol, I see what you mean, so you have one steering wheel, but you're controlling both your normal car and the Forza in-game car at the same time?
Or you mean you drive a real lap in a real car, having the GPS data uploading to the game so someone in Forza can race against you? o_o

GT5 had a big focus on that, recording all sorts of data from the car and letting it define an in-game ghost... but it never seemed to actually happen in the final version of the game.

Anyway, the media embargo on FM4 has lifted so there are all sorts of previews and such happening now.

I've been hearing news that the new wireless wheel (the boomerang thing) is completely gimped for Forza. Due to it having no LB/RB and (it seems, from what a friends has said,) no ability to customise the button layout, you can't use manual/clutch gears, which means it's slower than driving with a controller. Also, it has no headset/microphone jack. -_-

Huh.

If true, that is lame, but it also explains a few things.

Yeah I haven't got very high expectations for the boomerang wheel thing... Like sixaxis steering without feedback or resistance is blah...

I hope they don't make it too arcadey with all this kinect integration business. I would also like some backwards compatibility with FM3's liveries etc, but I doubt it
All your vinyl groups from your FM3 profile will be importable. It'll all happen in one "lump" import, so make sure you've saved all your FM3 car vinyls into groups, not as car designs.

I understand that Forza's steering assist is disableable now and they've made the braking power curve (how the controller maps to the car input) a little more linear so it's not so simple to get that sweet braking spot anymore. If you turn all of the assists off it won't be arcady at all, from what (little ) I've read so far. Idk, I understand a few buttonmashers are already playing it, and maybe one of them actually gets into driving games and might be able to tell you if it's really "arcady" or not.

Also, a car list is out.

Another also: You may want to ensure you have in your FM3 garage all teh cars which will directly import into your FM4 garage:

(I suspect the "secret" one will be from teh community choice car pack, but don't really know... I'll find out after the 11th, when the masses pick it up in the US.)

Lol Loosy... where are your priorities? Have you been spending your xbox money on useless stuff like food and rent instead?

Cheers for the heads up about the demo - I looked this morning (2pm) but it wasn't there.

Demo isn't too bad, cars have a better "feel" compared to F3,which to me felt as though they were on ice or gravel.
Fingers crossed the full game is just as good....Eh Sparky,I'm looking at you

Sounds reasonable, as long as you're not enjoying all of those at the same time.

Zoom zoom demo opinions?
The certification is insane on this demo track. I can't make a clean lap.
The BGM is awful. I need to chuck an mp3 onto the hdd so I can run custom BGM (at 0 volume) to override the Forza one @_@
Other than that, the surround sound effects are great, the graphical tricks are super effective and it looks awesome. I'm liking the physics and driving without Forza's old trademark steering assist very much too.
