I'd love to see a few classic RPGs, like Eye of the Beholder, Might and Magic or Ultima Underworld.
And I still long for an elite/freelancer/privateer clone of some type.
And a 'real' Civ.
And a 'real' Xcom.

As much as I love seeing the new and innovative titles that pop up on XBLA, one of the things that made me fall in love with it was the arcade-perfect ports of the games I pumped so many 20c and 50c coins into as a kid

When I realised I could buy Double Dragon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting etc, I bought them just as much for 'collector' value as I did just to play them. I know they're digital, but you get the idea :P

I really want something like Double Dragon II, NOT that upcoming Double Dragon: Neon thing that's coming up that appears to play off warped '80s nostalgia more than anything :/

On that note, XBLA has a tendency to release the 'first' or most well-known game in a franchise/series and stop there, short of arguably the 'best' game in a series.

I can't think of many examples off the top of my head except for Earthworm Jim. The first is awesome and I'm glad it's available. But Earthworm Jim 2 is pretty much indisputably the better game, right? It could turn up one day, but I doubt it.

I was stoked to learn this morning that Wonderboy in Monsterland was recently released on XBLA! Not the Sega Master System version that has been on the Wii Virtual Console for a long time, but the arcade version that I played in my youth.

It was one of my favourite arcade games because it was so much fun AND you could get pretty far on the one credit!

I'm also stoked because it's another ghost from the past in that I got up to the final level, but never actually finished it Hopefully I'll finally be able to rectify that.

It also seems to come bundled with a couple sequels that I'd never even heard of :/

Anyone else into this/pick it up?

I keep looking at them, but I just don't think I'd find the time to play them.
I have the Megadrive Collection (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonic&#...sis_Collection) and still haven't given that the attention that it deserves.
