Minecraft...forever.

Well Arcade Next promo wraps this week with Minecraft.

After the strange mess that is Fable Heroes and the absence of BloodRage I'm expecting this title to be the best of the bunch.

Of course we are all aware of the addictive world builder, but how many like me have resisted temptation to get it on pc/mac and waited for a version that may not be as all consuming?

Also, I'm sure the latest Trials is as good or better than the first Trials, but it seems to be less of a talking point.

Anyway - who's going to be crafting on their xbox come Wednesday night?

I purchased Minecraft in Beta and played a little, but my laptop can't really handle all those cubes.

My first foray offered up a few deaths, apart from the first explosion of a Creeper my absolute favourite was digging in some sand to suddenly find the floor fall away and I plummeted into a lava flow.

Goodbye 3 hrs of inventory, hello to regular saving.

Maybe i'm just looking at the surface of this, but even when i watch loads of gameplay vids, i still don't get the appeal. It just looks so arse, even the menus look really "Windows '95".

I really feel like i'm missing out, and i sooooo want to like it. I mean, the gazillions of people who are into can't all be wrong, right?

What am i missing here? Someone edumacate me now!!

Is the demo time limited? Or just a restricted area? I am keen to try it out and if I get it would be keen for the BM HQ thing whatever that is....

Not sure if there's a time limit on the demo. I Played it for about an hour. This game is a mega time sink spent about 3 hours digging a big arse tunnel network. Fun times!
