Well they DID expand it, which is what most people asked for.

I don't see how 10 tons of shit is any better than 5 tons, TBH.

Man.. I'm not sure why people are getting so worked up about this. I mean sure they could do things differently but whatever, I'll pop my head in and pick up a t-shirt every 15 months or something, and that beanie is great (though I think that's off the list now) (it's not double-layer or anything but it's good).

It'd be nice if I could use them with a cash value but it doesn't really bother me if there's just a 'prize cupboard' full of stuff that they attribute points to.

I don't think anyone's getting worked up about it, i'm just saying that it's personally no incentive for me to give my custom to MA. I just prefer the better prices and points system of websites like nzgameshop.com.

Wugga asked a question, i answered it

Oh.. fair enough. Just thought I sensed some raised hackles.

For what it's worth I prefer mightyape for their amazing customer service and stunning delivery times. I feel like they are as excited about their products as I am.

In that being said I'm not afraid to shop elsewhere if the prices are amazingly disparate.

Yeah, i think Viv might have left his sense of humour in his other pants this morning

I've had average service from MA. Bought some faulty headphones from them once, and they said "Oh send them back to us we'll take a look".... it was only when i went back to them and said "Sure, do you have a freepost return address, or will you send me a paid courier ticket?" did they respond with "Just toss 'em out, we'll send you another pair".

They were only a $10 pair of of iFrogs.

Actually, i guess that's pretty good customer service really; it's pleasing that they realised it would have cost them more in courier charges than the product was worth, not to mention the inconvenience to the customer.

Their shipping is super-fast too, so they're good when you're in a hurry for a game, or if the price is particularly sharp. But Banana Points ...... still meh.

Pretty sure NW's comment about raised hackles isnt directed at me

Im quite happy with the selection of junk, and since they expanded it, ive spent all my points.

Yeah you're probably right, but i'm not all bent out of shape about it. I think the selection is still kinda lame, but different strokes for different folks; if you can find stuff to spend your Banana Points on, more power to ya.

Do you not think that what you are spending your points on on is essentially "the best of a bad bunch" rather than stuff you actually want?

I guess i'd rather get cash discounts off games for rewards points, hence the preference for nzgameshop.com.

The least MA could do is provide a small selection of games to spend your points on; i know they've diversified their product range, but that's still their core business isn't it?

What'd you get, Viva?
There seems to be an abundance of console skins and "Planker" t-shirts. The pre-order bonus stuff is actually pretty nice I guess, especially for anyone that ends up being way into a game post-release date...

It is weird that they don't have any credit redemption options for people who're only interested in that. I mean, they once e-mailed me a code for $10 off a purchase simply because I hadn't shopped with them in a good few months (which I ironically didn't end up using, because I had no money at the time.)
