Pretty much the most amazing band in NZ. Have seen these guys so many times, and was lucky enough to tour with them. Their live show will seriously blow you away - completely moving. <3<3<3

At the moment i'm listening to Misery Index (great political death grind), Asian Kung-Fu Generation (best rock band ever - from Japan!) and ELO (Twilight <3<3<3)

Metallica, Primal Fear, Iced Earth, Black Sabbath (Dio era), Iron Maiden, Bruce Dickinson, Testament, James Murphy. They'd be the main ones, I suppose. There are many others.

Black Tide look promising based on their debut album. Machine Head are looking better than they have in years; it's just a pity that Testament's Formation of Damnation shat on The Blackening so comprehensively. Death Magnetic has revived Metallica's status. Arch Enemy are cranking out good albums. Fear Factory unfortunately looks like a dead duck these days, but they released a lot of good material while they were together. Edguy have gone a bit progressive for my taste, as have Dream Theater - though again, their back catalogues are full of gold. The same could be said for Iced Earth, but they can boast some the best metal albums ever amongst their achievements, so I've found it in ym heart to forgive. The return of Matt Barlow has helped no end.

If you mean in terms of touring with them as a groupie, LOL, but nah, my old band Ulcerate did several dates with them.

If you mean in terms of me kissing their asses, then hell yeah. They are fucking amazing

The bands I listen most to would have to be U2, Switchfoot/Jon Foreman and Coldplay. And some kiwi stuff by Split Enz/Crowded House/Finn Brothers. Oh can't forget Genesis/Phil Collins and The Police/Sting too!

Went down to Churchurch for Southern Amp at the weekend.

Of course, Testament (the only good band there) cancelled a few weeks ago.

So we refunded our tickets and explored Churchurch all day. On foot. It was fun times.

Found an old school second hand record store and spent our refunds on music

The attachment shows my cohorts and I outside the old flour mill. I'm on the right.
